Women's Day is not only a celebration but also a great occasion to let all women know that we celebrate and feel their importance in our life , society and everywhere and that day will be celebrated all over the world on 8th of March 2011 . Women from all of the planet regardless of their nationality , religion or color feel the unity and the appreciation they deserve on this special day ,many countries out of respect for women observe a national holiday . It is a day that respects the struggle of all women who rose over all kind of social injustice .
The colors that represent the International Women's Day are white , purple and green .
In 1977, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a proclamation, which declared a special day to be kept for celebrating rights of Women and International Peace, a convention on similar lines was held in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1980. The outcome of sustained international efforts resulted in the declaration of 8th of March as the Women's Day.
